From Small-Town Arizona to the International Stage, Haze Hollywood Celebrates a Historic Personal Achievement

EL RENO, OKLAHOMA — October 25, 2026 — From the small town of Holbrook, Arizona, to the international rodeo stage, Nate Lague, better known by the stage name Haze Hollywood, has captured the title of Mx International Gay Rodeo Association.

Hollywood, who now resides in Mesa, Arizona, was crowned on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Canadian County Expo & Event Center in El Reno, Oklahoma, during the World Gay Finals & International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA) Royalty Competition.

The three-day competition, held October 22–24, featured two contestants competing in five categories: Interview, Western Wear, Public Presentation, Talent & Entertainment, and Horsemanship. Contestants were evaluated using an overall comparative judging system to determine the titleholder.

Hollywood earned the opportunity to compete on the international stage after qualifying in February 2026 through the Arizona Gay Rodeo Association Royalty Competition.

Following the crowning, Your Big Break spoke exclusively with Hollywood about the significance of the victory and what the title represents.

“It’s an honor and privilege to represent for the voices who can’t be heard and make sure we all are seen, valued and represented. Being non binary is who I am. I no longer experience dysphoria and found myself along the process. This is what dreams are made of. With Love and Light.”

Hollywood's words reflect a personal journey of self-discovery, acceptance, and a commitment to using this new platform to amplify voices within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Cece Love Bab Cock of Santa Fe, New Mexico, was named first runner-up in the competition.

As the newly crowned Mx International Gay Rodeo Association, Hollywood will spend the coming year representing the organization, promoting inclusivity, celebrating Western culture, and helping increase visibility for LGBTQIA+ individuals within the rodeo community.

The International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA) is dedicated to promoting Western lifestyles and rodeo sports within the LGBTQIA+ community. Through its events, charitable initiatives, and royalty programs, the organization works to preserve cowboy and cowgirl traditions while creating welcoming spaces where individuals of all identities can participate and celebrate.

For Hollywood, the title represents more than a crown. It is an opportunity to inspire others, celebrate authenticity, and demonstrate that someone's hometown or identity does not limit what they can achieve.

From Holbrook to Mesa to the international stage, Haze Hollywood's journey is a reminder that big dreams can begin in small towns.
