2025 Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year!

A Note from our President of Your Big Break:

The Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year contest was an unforgettable evening filled with pageantry, dazzling talent, and heartfelt gratitude. It was a brilliant showcase of the vibrant and diverse community within the drag world. The event was a testament to the power of coming together to celebrate artistry, creativity, and unity.

Throughout the evening, performers from all spectrums of the drag world graced the stage, each bringing their unique flair and passion. The talent on display was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving the audience inspired and in awe. It was a celebration of individuality and expression, reminding us all of the beauty in diversity.

The success of such a remarkable event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. In these challenging times, it's not always easy to give from one's own resources, yet our sponsors stepped forward with open hearts. Their contributions have made a lasting impact, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I look forward to celebrating you both in August and in November. You got a friend and a fan in me.

To my panel of judges, my core committee for Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year, (Karime, Savannah Stevens, Eva Angelica Stratton, Aaron T Ghalichi and Ismael Ramirez) your passion, your love for the system is what drives me to continue the legacy, thank you for your help behind the scenes and thank you for sharing your expertise with our contestants to select our new royalty.

To the Rock Phoenix my home away from home, ever since I became a part of The Rock Phoenix family you have always opened your doors to any idea or event that I have had. I thank you for the continued years of support. Thank you, Doug Pesavento Morgan Pearce and the entire staff and management, for your hospitality.

To Bobbie René Cat, thank you for stepping up and being our door person, you truly assisted us in making sure we can raise money for the organization. I appreciate you.

To the outgoing Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year,Rita Bane and Sam Duran (Roman Holiday) there’s always a first and you Rita and you Roman are my first, you both helped kicked start the legacy back up and now will forever then itch into the Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year family. I hope your year was memorable and I thank you for your continued support.

To the community who showed up, there are a million places you could of been, but you choose to attend Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year, not only did you support the contestants, but you supported the organization and our mission to continue to assist the performing arts community in Arizona. Thank You!

To those that stepped up to elevate their drag and to be judged in front of a panel of judges and audience, (Wolf Valentine, Michael Crowe, Wilma Carstart, Celebrity Starr and Gaba Ghoul) I applaud you, I know it’s not easy as I’ve been through the experience before from a winner to a 1st alternate I understand the preparation it takes, the time and dedication and the passion to achieve a goal you set out for. Thank you, for making this year’s Arizona Regional Entertainer of the Year a huge success. You all displayed your individual art on stage, and it was truly remarkable to see the diverse contestants we had this year. Congratulations on your placements and category award wins. If Entertainer of the Year is your dream, I encourage you to continue to pursue this dream.

Finally, to our new Arizona Entertainer of the Year Royalty Wilma Carstart and Wolf Valentine, Congratulations on your win, thank you for competing for Arizona Entertainer of the Year. I'm very excited for the opportunity to work with you this year and to help you achieve your goal of becoming the National Entertainer of the Year. Let's do this, together!

In closing I would like to say that we have a lot of talented individuals in Arizona. I always say when I travel to watch drag in other places Arizona is a place to watch out for, don’t be afraid to take a risk, your risk may be the greatest reward you get. Arizona Entertainer of the Year has risen from the ashes and is going full steam ahead, let’s continue to grow, let’s continue to build legacy and let’s continue to stay creative.
